Sahara Acoustics

WHO WE ARE

Sahara Acoustics is a concept where Kweku assembles musicians south of the Sahara to collaborate, create and perform roots African music.

As some people are not aware of or familiar with music from Africa, they sometimes lump it all together as one simple genre, however there are various types of music from the continent that can not be justifiably be classified with one word.

Kweku has  performed with various groups: the Cabin Crew, (also known as the Cabin Fever in South Wales) , the Kwangos, & African Eye - until the formation of his group the Sahara Acoustics in the 90s, with which he toured across continents, performing and collaborating with musicians of various levels of experience.

At present Kwe is working on few new projects - "Acoustic Alchemy" and the "Prodigal World" albums to bring solo acoustic sets as well as duos, quartet ensembles to display his up-to-date work and collaborations, which he describes as 'art in the waves'.
